
MUSIC AMICI OPENS 18TH SEASON
Music Amici, the chamber music ensemble now celebrating their 18th season, will present a program of chamber music on Sunday, November 10 at 3:00 P.M. at Threefold Auditorium, 260 Hungry Hollow Road, in Chestnut Ridge, NY in Rockland County. The program will include the �Fantasy Pieces� for Clarinet, & Piano by Robert Schumann, Piano Quartet in G Minor, Op. 25 by Johannes Brahms and the Piano Trio in Eb Major, #2, Op. 100 by Franz Schubert. Known to many Rockland music lovers, Music Amici was deemed �Best Chamber Ensemble in the Valley� by Hudson Valley Magazine.
The performers are Marti Sweet, violin; Eugene Moye, cello; Michael Drapkin, clarinet and Christopher Oldfather, piano. All are well known throughout the region as veteran chamber music artists.
Music Amici has recorded for Angel/EMI, New World Records, Arabesque and the Helicon label. Their concerts combine virtuoso performances with a friendly and entertaining format in which the listener can experience a more intimate relationship with the music and the performers.
This performance is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State Agency.
