We strive for greatness, not perfection. If all you do is focus on perfection, you will never be great. The road to greatness is paved with the imperfections that get us there.
This website is an archive of a lifetime spent exploring two worlds: music and technology.
At first glance, the projects collected here may seem unrelated: performances, books, transcriptions, software, websites, consulting, publishing, entrepreneurship, and artificial intelligence.
To me, they have always been the same pursuit.
Over the years, that pursuit led me through orchestras, publishing, entrepreneurship, technology, and education, but the underlying questions never changed.
I have spent my life looking for patterns, building mental models, and creating things that I wished existed. Some became books. Some became software. Some became organizations. Some became ideas.
Over time, I became less interested in collecting accomplishments and more interested in creating things that persist—work that remains useful long after the moment that inspired it has passed.
The pages that follow are not a résumé. They are the artifacts of that journey.
